1.Site

Pearl River Town is located in the Zhujiang New Town,which is a  new central business district in Guangzhou, China. This building is 309 meters tall, which is the No.3 tallest building in Guangzhou since 2012. With the  23.12675°N of the latitude and  113.3176°E of longitude,  the prevailing wind direction is from southeast during April and July, while from September to March , the prevailing wind direction is from North(Fig.1). The building’s envelope design make good use of this climate feature for the better ventilation.

 

2.Transportation

This Building is easy to find and access because of its envelope and the location which is near the Metro and the APM(Fig.2). The alternative transportation offer people the convenience of coming and leaving the building（Physiological and Sociological: located in the central business  district,  the perfect transportation system offer people an easy way to access the building.)

 

3.Greenery

In the area the building located in(Fig.3) , there are two main features that can be observed. One is the density , which is obviously lower than other area. The other one is the greenery, which is more and the greenery around the building can offer a larger open space.  Low building density and greenery can bring people a sense of comfort from physical and psychological , also it can ease the urban heat and improve the environmental quality(physiological: greenery can offer a better environment and improve the environmental quality)
